Career and Progression Exploration

Know Yourself, Discover Your Future

Career development begins with understanding yourself.

At Huadong Taiwan Businessman's School, students are guided to explore their interests, aptitudes, strengths, and values through a wide range of learning experiences, including:

  • career-related courses;
  • guest lectures;
  • workplace and career experiences;
  • university visits;
  • alumni sharing; and
  • diverse exploratory learning activities.

Through these experiences, students gradually develop a clearer understanding of different academic fields, university majors, and career pathways.

K–12 Career Exploration Pathway

Career development is not a single decision made at the end of high school. It is a continuous journey of self-discovery, exploration, experience, and informed choice.

At Huadong, career awareness develops progressively across the K–12 learning journey.

Building a Personal Pathway for the Future

Throughout the exploration process, students are supported in developing:

Self-Awareness & Interest Exploration
Understanding personal interests, strengths, values, and learning preferences.

Academic & Career Awareness
Learning about different fields of study and possible career directions.

Strengths & Capability Development
Recognizing individual talents and developing transferable skills.

University & Career Connections
Connecting university majors with future professions and real-world opportunities.

Personal Goals & Learning Plans
Setting future goals and identifying the knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to achieve them.

We encourage students to begin by asking:

“What kind of person do I want to become?”

From there, they move toward another important question:

“What abilities and experiences do I need to develop to get there?”

At Huadong, career exploration is not simply about choosing a university major or a job. It is about helping every student know themselves, discover possibilities, make informed choices, and build a future that reflects who they are and who they hope to become.
